My result to “Profile for Technology Literate Teachers (Professional Preparation Performance Profile)” was terrible. In all honesty, I didn’t really know what I was doing when I was taking the survey. I really can’t read my results either. BUT I can promise you right here and now, technology and I are not best friends. I was always one of those girls that tried to stay away from anything technological in school. If I didn’t have to use it, I wouldn’t. I suppose that is how I thought teaching would be too. I would only use what I had to.
I do understand the benefits of technology, but I think I will always stand my ground and say their needs to be a balance. And I suppose, for me, I just assume that I am not going to have to use that much technology. I want to teach in Title One Schools. These schools struggle with having enough resources, as it is they won’t have the “up-to-date” technology. Am I wrong, though, to assume that I won’t have to deal with as much technology? Is it ok that I am somewhat untroubled by the fact that my ProfilerPro results were so low?
